BO Carinae has shown some periodicity that seemed to be enough to classify it as an SRb and not an L star. A ~133 days period was derived from the following approximate dates of maximum:
Maxima: JD 2451572 - 2451699 - 2451858 - 2451985 - 2452115 - 2452256 - 2452400 - 2452663
This is an M4Ib supergiant and the observed range is V= 7.03 - 7.93.
